Wheel & Rim Coating
Nothing changes the look of a vehicle faster than the wheels, and nothing on a vehicle gets treated worse. Brake dust, road salt, stone chips, curbs, tire machines and pressure washers all attack the same four parts — which is why factory clear coat peels and painted wheels start looking tired within a few seasons.
Powder coating is simply a better answer for wheels. The cured film is thicker and harder than wheel paint, it flexes rather than cracking, it shrugs off brake dust and salt, and it's far easier to keep clean. We strip each wheel back to bare metal first, so you're not building a new finish on top of a failing one.
Full sets, single replacement wheels, steelies, alloys, truck wheels, motorcycle rims and trailer wheels all come through the shop. Bring them bare if you can — if you can't, tell us and we'll sort out the details when you drop off.

Curing happens in an oven, so tires, valve stems, TPMS sensors, weights and center caps all have to come off first. Most tire shops will dismount and remount for a small charge — get that lined up before you drop off and the whole job moves faster.

Wheels come to us bare — no tires, weights, valve stems or sensors. Anything that can't take oven heat has to be out first.
Peeling clear, old paint and previous powder are removed completely. Coating over failing clear coat just buys you a season.
The wheel is blasted to clean metal with an even profile — including the barrel, the back face and between the spokes.
Brake dust and road film get washed off, then hub bores, stud holes and valve stem holes are plugged so nothing needs cleaning up later.
Color goes on evenly across faces, spokes, lips and barrels, then the wheel bakes until the powder cures into a hard shell.
Coverage and edges get checked on every wheel before the set goes back to you for mounting and balancing.
Road salt destroys wheel finishes. A cured powder coat resists salt, brake dust and chemical wheel cleaners far better than factory clear or wheel paint.
Wheels take constant stone strikes. Powder's thicker, more flexible film absorbs those hits instead of chipping and letting corrosion start underneath.
Refinishing a tired set of alloys usually costs a fraction of buying new wheels — and you keep the fitment and offset you already know works.
All four wheels get coated together with the same powder, so the set matches exactly. That's harder to guarantee with paint touched up over time.

Yes. Powder cures in an oven at temperatures rubber can't survive, so tires, valve stems, TPMS sensors and wheel weights all have to be removed before we can coat. Most tire shops will dismount and remount for you at a reasonable price.
A standard set generally turns around in days rather than weeks — one of our customers described it as excellent work with a fast turnaround. Multi-stage candy or two-tone finishes take longer because each layer cures separately. Call for current lead times.
We clean up rash and scuffing during prep so the new finish isn't laid over damage. Deep gouges and bent or cracked rims are a structural repair question, not a coating one — bring them in and we'll tell you honestly what we can and can't improve.
Gloss and satin black are still the most requested by a wide margin, followed by bronze, gunmetal and satin grey. Candy colors over a bright base draw the most attention when someone wants the set to be the focal point of the build.
That's exactly what it's good at. A cured powder film handles salt, brake dust and wheel cleaner chemicals better than factory clear coat, and it's easier to wash. Rinsing the salt off through winter still helps any finish last longer.
